Launch a token

How HodlHive works

Every token here launches on a Raydium LaunchLab bonding curve under the HodlHive platform. Every trade on every one of them pays a platform fee into one wallet, the hive. Every 30 minutes the hive splits what it received: 80% to the holders of all HodlHive tokens, by the SOL value they held through the window, and 20% to buy and burn $HIVE, the core.

The idea

Hold any HodlHive token and you earn from the trading of all of them, your own included. One SOL of any token here weighs the same as one SOL of any other: the split is by value held, not by token, not by share of supply, not by who launched first.

A launchpad usually pays the creator and the platform. HodlHive pays the holders. The creator takes no fee at all: they earn as one of their own token's holders, like everyone else. The platform's share is the core's: it buys the platform token on the open market and burns it, so every token's volume becomes demand for $HIVE.

80% to holders, by SOL value held through the epoch 20% buys $HIVE and burns it

How an epoch pays

An epoch is a fixed window of 30 minutes on the clock: the window that starts at :00 and the one that starts at :30. Each one ends the same way.

  1. A secret snapshot. When the window opens, the server draws one moment inside it at random and keeps it to itself. At that moment it reads every holder of every HodlHive token: one getProgramAccounts per mint, owner and balance only, summed per wallet.
  2. The hive collects. When the window closes, the hive claims the platform fee of every curve in one transaction, harvests the locked-liquidity fees of migrated tokens, collects their pool creator fee, and unwraps it all into plain SOL.
  3. The pool. The pool of the epoch is the hive's balance minus what it already owes to holders and to the core, minus a 0.02 SOL reserve for transaction fees. Whatever actually arrived is split; nothing is estimated.
  4. The core takes 20%. That share buys $HIVE on its own pool and burns it in the same epoch. Below 0.005 SOL it carries over as a debt to the core, so it is never redistributed to holders.
  5. Holders get 80%. Each wallet's share is its weight over everyone's weight. The amount accrues to the wallet; once it reaches 0.001 SOL the hive sends it as a plain transfer. Nothing to claim, nothing to sign.

What counts as holding

counted balance= min(balance at this snapshot, balance at the previous one)
holding value= counted balance × the token's pool price at the close
your weight= Σ holding value over every HodlHive token you hold
your share= your weight ÷ everyone's weight

Because the snapshot moment is unknown, the only way to be counted is to hold through the whole window. Buying just before a snapshot and selling right after earns nothing: it pays the trade fee into the hive and takes nothing out of it. A token's first epoch pays its holders nothing, there is no previous snapshot yet; from the second epoch on they are in.

  • ✓ Wallets count. A token account owned by a program (a pool vault, a lock, an escrow), the burn address and the hive itself never count.
  • ✓ Price is the token's own pool at the close: the curve's marginal price before migration, the Raydium pool's reserves after.
  • ✓ Splitting a balance across wallets changes nothing: the rule is linear. Holding ten tokens or one changes nothing: value is value.

A worked example

Three wallets, two tokens, one epoch whose pool is 1.000 SOL. Token A is priced so that 1,000 units are worth 1 SOL; token B so that 10,000 units are worth 1 SOL.

WalletHeld through the epochValueWeightShare of 0.800 SOL
Ann2,000 A2.00 SOL2.000.400 SOL
Bo10,000 B1.00 SOL1.000.200 SOL
Cy500 A + 5,000 B0.50 + 0.50 SOL1.000.200 SOL
the core20% of the pool, bought and burned0.200 SOL

Bo and Cy hold different tokens and earn the same, because they held the same value. Ann holds twice the value and earns twice. A fourth wallet that bought A after the snapshot earns nothing this epoch and is counted from the next.

The platform rate is written in the platform config on chain and read from there by this page. The admin can change it for future trades (LaunchLab allows up to 5%); a change never touches what is already in the hive, and the rate a migrated pool uses is fixed at migration.

The core: $HIVE

$HIVE is a HodlHive token like any other, launched on the platform through the same form. What makes it the core is the engine's rule: every epoch 20% of the pool buys it, on its curve while it is there and in its Raydium pool after migration, and burns what it bought in the same epoch. The purchase itself pays the platform fee, which lands back in the hive for the next epoch.

  • ✓ Its holders earn as holders of any token here; their weight is the SOL value of $HIVE they hold.
  • ✓ The supply only shrinks: the mint authority is revoked at launch, the burn is a plain SPL burn from the hive wallet.
  • · Not launched yet. Until it is, the core's 20% is not taken: the whole pool goes to holders.

Launching

  1. Name it. A name (up to 32 bytes), a ticker (up to 10), an image, a description, links. Name, ticker and the image link are written into the mint and cannot be changed afterwards, by anyone.
  2. Your first buy, if you want one. It rides in the launch transaction, so nothing gets in ahead of it. Capped at 10% of the supply, paid in SOL.
  3. Sign once. One transaction creates the mint, the curve under the HodlHive platform and your buy. It lands whole or not at all. The site signs the mint's part before your wallet sees it; the mint key is dropped the moment it has signed.
  4. Trade and earn. Your token trades on its curve from the first second. Your holders are counted from the first full epoch they hold through, and so are you.
Every launch starts at26.6 SOLmarket cap, the same for everyone
Migrates at425 SOL×16.0 the start, once 85 SOL is raised
On the curve80%of the supply; the rest opens the Raydium pool with the SOL raised
After migrationlocked foreverthe pool's liquidity goes to Raydium's lock; its fee rights are the hive's

The supply is 1,000,000,000 with 6 decimals, no mint and no freeze authority. Until the target is raised, buyers' SOL sits in the curve and sellers can take it back out; most curves never fill. Only Raydium's migrator can migrate a curve.

Payouts

What you are owed accrues to your address in the hive's ledger. Once it reaches 0.001 SOL, the hive sends it as a plain SOL transfer, 16 wallets per transaction, and lists the transaction on your Earnings page. Below the threshold it carries over to the next epoch: a transfer costs the hive 5,000 lamports per 16 wallets, so the overhead stays under 0.03% of what is paid.

  • ✓ A transfer that does not land goes back to your balance and is sent again next epoch. A transfer is never sent twice: every one is written to the ledger with its signature before it goes out, and checked by signature after a restart.
  • ✓ The pool is computed from the hive's real balance minus its debts, so a missed claim or a failed transfer can never make it promise more than it holds.
  • ✓ Transaction fees come out of the hive's reserve, which refills from the next epoch's fees. There is no separate "gas" charge to anyone.

Risks and trust points

The hive wallet is a hot key on the HodlHive server. It can only spend what it holds: fees already claimed and not yet paid, usually one epoch's worth. If it leaked, that balance could be taken and the platform's fee wallet would have to be re-pointed by the admin. It cannot touch your tokens or the pools.
The snapshot and the split are off chain. The HodlHive server reads balances, computes weights and sends payouts; the chain enforces where the fees go, not how they are split. The ledger is published through the site and the API, so every number can be rechecked, but the rule itself is policy, not a program.
The platform admin can change the curve fee for future trades, within LaunchLab's cap of 5%, and can re-point the fee wallet. The admin key is cold and never on the server.
Raydium owns the programs. Raydium can change LaunchLab's protocol fee and upgrade LaunchLab, the CPMM and the lock program; only Raydium's migrator migrates a curve.
No audit, no guarantee. The engine's rule is tested and was run end to end on devnet; it has not been audited by a third party. Tokens here are speculative; a quiet platform pays little.

FAQ

Do I need to claim anything?

No. The hive pays the wallet that holds the tokens. Once what you are owed reaches 0.001 SOL it is sent; you can watch it accrue on Earnings.

I bought and sold within one epoch. What do I get?

Nothing from the hive, and you paid the trade fee into it. You are counted only for what you held at two consecutive snapshots, and the moment of each one is not announced.

I held the whole epoch and got nothing. Why?

Three usual reasons: it was the token's first epoch (no previous snapshot); your value was so small that the pool's floor division gave zero lamports; or the pool itself was empty because nothing traded. The Earnings page shows every epoch you were weighed in.

Which tokens count?

Every token launched through HodlHive's platform on LaunchLab, before and after migration. The home page lists them all; the engine discovers them from the chain by the platform id, so nothing can be hidden from the list.

Does the creator earn a fee?

No. The creator fee is 0 on the platform config. A creator earns as a holder of their own token, by the same rule as everyone.

What happens when a token migrates?

Raydium's migrator moves the SOL raised and the rest of the supply into a Raydium CPMM pool and locks the liquidity. The fee rights of that liquidity go to the hive wallet, and so does the pool's creator fee. The token keeps earning for its holders, from that pool now.

Does holding $HIVE earn?

Yes, exactly like holding any other HodlHive token: by the SOL value held. On top of that, 20% of every pool buys $HIVE and burns it.

Can the fee change?

The platform admin can change the curve fee for future trades, within LaunchLab's cap of 5%. The change is visible in the platform config on chain, and this page reads the rate from there.

Could the hive be drained?

The hive wallet holds roughly one epoch of fees at a time; a leak would cost that much and nothing of yours. The pools, your tokens and the locked liquidity are not reachable from it.

Where do prices come from?

From the token's own pool: the curve's reserves before migration, the Raydium pool's reserves after. No oracle, no external feed; the chart is built from the trades the site indexes from the chain.

When is the next payout?

Every 30 minutes on the clock; the home page counts down to the next one. The snapshot moment inside the window is the only thing not shown.

What does a launch cost?

Network rent only, about 0.0115 SOL (the mint, its metadata, the curve and its vaults), plus your own first buy if you make one. HodlHive takes no launch fee.
